| Appraiser Comments: | Latzker Hall is a YMCA at the campus of the University of Illinois in Urbana. It still exists. I cannot date this appearance precisely in a short time. Gary Vispukic, the designer of this poster, was the in-house artist for Newsday magazine. Today he teaches at New York Insitute of Technology (accoding to my best information). He could likely date this poster for you. If I could get to my Lenny Bruce biography, I would try to date it for you. As an honored comedian, and and iconic cultural figure, and a handsomely designed poster, especially in like new condition, then this poster should have rather broad appeal. I would expect that it would bring $200 at a sa;e/ Possibly more in the Champaign - Urbana area. This would be particularly true if someone had been to that concert. It is possible and perhaps likely, that film critic Roger Ebert was there at the time and even attended the concert. |
