About James Martin
|
|
James has been a dealer of antiques, fine art and collectibles from 1964 to the present. He is the founder of Artists-Antiques Conservation & Restoration Services which he began in 1984 and is the co-founder of Artists-Antiques, Claims & Estate Service started in April of1985. He is the past treasurer and a current member of the International Society of Appraisers, Gulf Coast Chapter. James is a published author of articles on the appraising profession and has written many articles on the subject of conservation and restoration of antiques, fine art and collectibles. He is also an active buyer in auctions nationwide.
He began his career in antiques with a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree back in 1962. He then went on to attain his Masters in Fine Arts degree in 1969 and followed it up with another Bachelor's degree in 1977, this time in Professional Art Studies. His education and passion led him into the appraisal world and James has been an accredited appraiser for many years now boasting a very impressive client list.
